Fouling Control in SWS
Our fouling control programs use dispersants, scale inhibitors and surface cleaning products to reduce the deposition of organics, calcium salts and corrosion byproducts. Controlling fouling in SWS operations helps ensure stripping efficiency; in extreme cases, poor SWS operation can impact the whole refinery.
Corrosion Control in SWS
The SWS tower and the overhead sections are exposed to high levels of H2S, CO2 and ammonia and can experience high rates of bisulphide and carbon dioxide corrosion. In some cases, corrosion risks are compounded by high levels of cyanides from upstream units that concentrate in the overhead. Our water-soluble filming corrosion inhibitors coupled with process optimization can significantly reduce the risks of corrosion occurring in the sour water stripping process, helping to maintain stripping efficiency and asset integrity.
